Deck Reinforcing Steel Dialog

Setting	Description
Reinforcing Type	This dropdown list contains two options. Select Longitudinal to enter longitudinal reinforcing steel in the slabs. Select Transverse to enter transverse reinforcing steel in the slab.
Add	Press this button to add a row to the grid where reinforcing steel layout information will be added.
Delete	Press this button to delete the currently highlighted row from the grid.
Delete All	Press this button to delete all rows from the grid. Only those rows that apply to the currently selected reinforcing type will be deleted.
Save DGN	The following button will export the Deck Reinforcing Steel 2D model directly and accurately to Microstation DGN file format, including layers. Save the DGN file in the desired location and once the export is successful you can browse to file location and open/view in Microstation.
Number	This number is a system generated number that is used to reference the element in the grid.
Begin / End Reference	Select the slab segment from the list that the start / end of the reinforcing steel will be referenced to.
Slab Side	For the slab selected as the back slab reference, select the side of the slab (start of slab or end of slab) that will be used.
Offset	Enter the offset distance in feet that the steel will start from the selected slab side. The default value is 0.0.
Spacing	Enter the spacing between the bars in inches.
Side Cover	Enter the cover distance in inches from the edge of the slab to the bars.
Vertical Reference	Select Top of Slab or Bot. of Slab.
Vertical Cover	Enter the vertical distance in inches, measured from the selected vertical reference, to the row of reinforcing bars.
Bar Size	Select the bar size from the drop down list. Additional bars can be added by using the Material Library editor.
